An early MK1 FF in for a steering and suspension rebuild, all stripped now ready for parts to be sent for powdercoating.
There are quite a few differences from the later MK1 FF’s not just on visible items but once stripped down some components have subtle differences to the later cars.
Now the shell is at the bodyshop all the removed parts are being restored.
The first batch of stripped parts have been now returned from powdercoating, zinc plating and chroming, and can now start to be reassembled.
Its nice to have pristine parts to reassemble, the first batch of steering and suspension components have been rebuilt including front driveshafts and the switch panel has been re-veneered and rebuilt with all switches tested.
Now back from the LCCS and had a very enjoyable weekend on the Jensen Owners Club stand with the recently restored SP.
Alex Riley came over and took a real interest in the car and spent quite some time speaking to the cars owner.
Now its time to get back in the workshop rebuilding the FF front suspension and getting a MK1 interceptor ready for the owner to use in the summer.
We will be attending the London Classic Car Show this week from Thursday the 14th to Sunday the 17th of Feb.
I will be on stand CC4 the Jensen Owners Club stand with the recently restored Jensen SP along with the cars owners.

The FF coilovers are not easily separated, it is possible using generic spring compressors but can be very risky because the spring is compressed very tight.
We have the correct tool for this job and are happy to split and reassemble your units for you, just contacts us to make arrangements.
