The shell has now been delivered to the bodyshop ready for shotblasting, so that all metalwork repairs required can be seen. Meanwhile all the removed parts are being checked and then sent for powdercoating/plating or rechroming where required.
FF182 is now fully dismantled and all parts safely sorted and stored. A transport frame has been made and fitted ready for the shell to be moved to the bodyshop.
Now that the SP is finished work can begin on FF182, first it needs to be stripped to a bare shell and a transport frame made so that it can be delivered to the bodyshop for shotblasting.
With the SP nearing completion the next project has arrived at the workshop. Looks like my own MK1 FF restoration stays on a back burner and I will be busy with another MK1 FF.
I have now got the excitement of the finishing stages of the SP whilst looking forward to starting on another great car with an owner happy to go all the way with a full nut and bolt rebuild .
