Just delivered, a barn find Jensen SP for a full nut and bolt restoration.

The car has now been stripped and sent for welding work whilst we start refurbishing the removed parts.

Since stripping the car the owner has taken the bodyshell to Hightone Restorations who will be carrying out the extensive metalwork repairs and returning a finished bodyshell back to Oily Rag Classics who will be carrying out the mechanical, electrical and trim work. Hightone have already had the shell dipped and carried out much work to sills, floors and a complete new back end.

We have stripped the engine to find it very worn and although a numbers matching car a previous owner had carried out some work on the engine and replaced the six pack cam and timing gear with standard 440 parts.

The engine block has now been machined for +30 pistons and the entire rotating assembly is being balanced, the engine will be rebuilt to standard SP specifications with the addition of Edelbrock heads and Harland Sharp roller rockers.
